In March 2009 Michael Kilgarriff kindly agreed to sign his Cyber Controller action figure for an auction with all proceeds going to Comic Relief. An incredible £120 was raised for Red Nose Day 09. Michael Kilgarriff played the Cyber Controller in 'Tomb of the Cybermen' (1967) and 'Attack of the Cybermen' (1985). This one of a kind collector's item was auctioned in support of Comic Relief, registered charity 326568 (England/Wales); SC039730 (Scotland). As well as 'The Tomb of the Cybermen' (1967) Kilgarriff also played the Cyber Controller in 'Attack of the Cybermen' (1985). In addition, he played the Ogron in 'Frontier in Space' (1973) and the K1 Robot in 'Robot' (1974). Read the Michael Kilgarriff interview. The figure itself is assembled from the four Character Options Collect & Build Cybermen released in 2009. The auction included a handwritten letter signed by Michael Kilgarriff himself authenticating this unique Cyber Controller figure. 100% of the winning bid of £120 went direct to Comic Relief. The assembled classic Cyber Controller figure was kindly donated by Hoosier Whovian for Michael Kilgarriff to sign.
