A Selection of New Series Doctor Who Book Jackets from Cyberlek's Collection

The new series of BBC Books began with the publication of the first three titles in May 2005. These had been preceded by a distinguished legacy of novelisations stretching back to 1964 Classic Series Books See also Virgin Missing Adventures Books

The new series books are initially made available in hardback editions and generally published in releases of three titles every spring and autumn. Sting of the Zygons for example is from April 2007.

The new series era has also seen the publication of a select range of abridged novels, or Quick Reads, such as Revenge of the Judoon (2008) and The Sontaran Games (2009).

In 2005 Character Options were awarded the licence to make Doctor Who toys and the now legendary Doctor Who Action Figure range began later that year Character Options Doctor Who Action Figures
